In other words, if you don’t see the features below on your specific phone then, chances are, your phone is not using One UI. There’s also the possibility that your phone can be updated to One UI. Most phones released in the last few years use One UI but it depends on the model. It has a native feature to hide apps which is the easiest to use. The latest version of Android is called Samsung One UI and we will use it for our examples below. However, depending on your phone’s version of Android, some features may not be supported. Let’s get started! Method #1: Hide Apps with Android One UIīear in mind, every Samsung phone uses Android as the operating system. Luckily, Samsung has made it easy to hide apps. Whatever your reason, we will show a few easy ways to hide apps on Samsung phones in this article. Maybe you just want to hide specific apps from your prying eyes! It can be stressful when you’re in a hurry to find a specific app, like when you’re in line at a grocery store looking for a coupon as other shoppers are waiting on you. If you are frustrated with having to swipe through multiple pages to find what you need, then you should learn how to hide some apps. Phones can quickly become cluttered with apps which makes it difficult to find the specific app that you need.

2008), and coseismic and post-seismic gravity change caused by the 2004 Sumatra-Andaman earthquake (Chen et al. 2009), mass-induced global and regional sea level variations (Boening et al. 2012 Matsuo and Heki 2010 Yi and Sun 2014), groundwater storage depletion (Famiglietti et al. 2014 Velicogna and Wahr 2006a Velicogna and Wahr 2006b), mass balance in High Mountain Asia (Jacob et al. 2012), ice sheet mass balance in Antarctica and Greenland (Harig and Simons 2012 King et al. Numerous studies have demonstrated that GRACE has enabled many achievements in Earth science, e.g., terrestrial water storage (TWS) variations and relevant droughts and floods in the Amazon River basin (Chen et al. The main products released by these data processing centers are level-2 GRACE solutions, i.e., geopotential fields in the form of spherical harmonic (SH) coefficients (Stokes coefficients), which can be used to interpret global gravity field changes and mass variations at the Earth’s surface. The GRACE observations are processed and released by the Center for Space Research (CSR) at the University of Texas at Austin, the Geo-Forschungs-Zentrum (GFZ) at Potsdam, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), among others. Thus, by observing the distance between two satellites by the K-band ranging (KBR) instrument and orbit perturbations by GPS tracking, GRACE satellites can “sense” the gravity field and its variations in a direct way. Any mass variation at the Earth’s surface, in principle, causes the change of distance between two GRACE satellites, which is detected at micrometer precision. To measure the Earth’s gravity field from space, two GRACE satellites fly at an altitude of ~450 km in the same near-polar orbit with one 220 km ahead of the other. As a joint satellite mission between the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), GRACE has proven to be an invaluable tool for monitoring the mass transport and redistribution in the Earth’s fluid envelopes with a footprint of ~300 km. Launched in March 2002, the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite mission has provided direct observations of the global gravity field and its temporal variations with an unprecedented accuracy (Tapley et al. We postulate that GRAMAT will also be an effective tool for the analysis of data from the upcoming GRACE-Follow-On mission. We conclude that using GRAMAT and processing the GRACE level-2 data products, the global spatio-temporal mass variations can be efficiently and robustly estimated, which indicates the potential wide range of GRAMAT’s applications in hydrology, oceanography, cryosphere, solid Earth and geophysical disciplines to interpret large-scale mass redistribution and transport in the Earth system. In addition to obvious seasonal TWS variations in the Amazon River basin, significant interannual TWS variations are detected by GRACE using the GRAMAT, which are consistent with precipitation anomalies in the region. As a case study, we analyze the terrestrial water storage (TWS) variations in the Amazon River basin using the functions in GRAMAT. Functions in GRAMAT contain: (1) destriping of SH coefficients to remove “north-to-south” stripes, or geographically correlated high-frequency errors, and Gaussian smoothing, (2) spherical harmonic analysis and synthesis, (3) assessment and reduction of the leakage effect in GRACE-derived mass variations, and (4) harmonic analysis of regional time series of the mass variations and assessment of the uncertainty of the GRACE estimates. In this paper, we robustly analyze the noise reduction methods for processing spherical harmonic (SH) coefficient data products collected by the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite mission and devise a comprehensive GRACE Matlab Toolbox (GRAMAT) to estimate spatio-temporal mass variations over land and oceans. One overlooked improvement would be replacing the chicken models altogether with birds more closely resembling the iconic Cuccos from The Legend of Zelda series. Downloaders of this pack will notice certain variations in the creatures, such as in the design of the squids and chickens, to better suit the Phantom Hourglass theme. While some default Minecraft animals still remain in this resource pack, the creator has also included the addition of other animals. The creation of the Zelda Phantom Hourglass resource pack began more than five years ago, with continuous updates and improvements to the designs. The creativity and quality of this pack is on another level. There are many standalone resource packs that work to enhance Minecraft’s user-interface, but the Zelda Phantom Hourglass resource pack goes above and beyond with its GUI. It makes the first moments with this resource pack a little confusing, but with enough time you will become familiar with the new texture pack. This is something you will likely notice the first time you go underground and discover a patch obsidian. As far as other textures go, there are certain blocks that vary so much in their color from the original that they can be hard to identify. The gaps in the leaves look a bit strange and unnatural, though some may still prefer their aesthetic to the non-modified trees. This pack also alters the textures of trees, replacing the fuzzy pixelated bunches of leaves with what appears to be large tropical leaves. If you want a pack to make your water to look more realistic, this pack is worth trying just for that reason. The rivers and ocean contain similar waves and patterns to Phantom Hourglass, and their crisp colors and design are definitely a highlight of this pack. The creator of this pack modified the trees, water, and other aspects of scenery to appear more natural, creating a more immersive experience akin to the hero Link’s adventures. Inspired by the 2007 Nintendo DS game The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, the Zelda Phantom Hourglass resource pack brings the aesthetic of The Legend of Zelda games into the cube-like world of Minecraft graphics. However, there aren’t really any “bad” seats at Jiffy Lube Live. As with Sections 1-3, the design fans out to the sides, giving a more angled view. Seats in Sections 102 and 303 also provide center front views of the stage, though from a bit further away. Also, while the lawn slopes gently upwards, the pit area is mostly level, so that if you’re sitting further back, your view may be obscured by those in front of you. Sections 1 and 3 still offer outstanding seats, but you’ll be angled more towards the sides, and you might find there’s equipment blocking some views of the stage. You’ll get the best views for your favorite shows from the center front of Section 2. The VIP Boxes occupy the first three rows of Sections 202 and 204, and the first four rows of the central Section 203. These seats are provided on a similar basis to Jiffy Lube Live’s VIP and Club Seats, and are ideal for larger parties. These cushioned seats offer some of Jiffy Lube Live’s best views of the center of the stage. You’ll be sitting in the Club seats, which you’ll find in the front rows (A-C) of Section 102. Outside the reserved seating area, general admission applies to the lawn area, where upwards of 15,000 people can sit on the grass. Some artists choose to have a General Admission pit section in front of sections 1-3, which is usually standing room only. The rows in these three sections are lettered from A to R, with row A being at the front and row R at the rear. If you purchase Jiffy Lube Live tickets in the Pit, you’ll get the closest possible views of the performers. Pit seats are reserved in sections numbered 1, 2 and 3. So when you’re sitting facing the stage, you’ll find Seat 1 and the lower numbered seats on the far right of your section, and the highest seat numbers on the left. Jiffy Lube Live seat numbers go from right to left, starting at A1, A101, A201, etc. Seat numbers follow a different logic to standard numbering, with 2 being in the middle and 1 and 3 on the right and left of the stage area. Behind those are Sections 201 to 206, and so on towards the back of the reserved seating area. Behind them are Sections 101, 102 and 103. The closest seats to the stage are in Sections 1, 2 and 3 (named after the orchestra pit). Unlike a standard sports stadium, the seats are in a fan-shaped area, divided into different sections. This allows for 10,444 people to sit under cover in the fixed reserved seats and 14,818 on the lawn area. The total number of seats at Jiffy Lube Live concert events is about 25,262. The image below shows how the venue is laid out, with the light blue area at the being the lawn area. There are a selection of 10,000 reserved seats as well as 15,000 lawn tickets. The following post is sponsored by Aleene’s Originally portrayed solely in black and white, Broweleit requested that the pieces be portrayed in color, and Logg altered the game accordingly prior to the next Consumer Electronics Show. After presenting the title at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Tengen president Randy Broweleit requested improvements in the game. In an interview, Ed Logg notes that the Tengen version of Tetris was built completely from scratch, using no source code or material from the original game. Atari made use of the same art when advertising the new release, as seen in the Atari inset above right, adding a fireworks motif that was not a part of the original art. Basil's Cathedral in Red Square, Moscow, and featuring at its base a falling stone concept that mirrored the gameplay. The art which was featured on the Tengen cover was an airbrush painting by well known illustrator Marc Ericksen featuring St. As a result, 268,000 Tetris cartridges were recalled and destroyed after only four weeks on shelves. District Court Judge Fern Smith issued an injunction barring Tengen from further distributing the game, and further ordered all existing copies of the game be destroyed. In June 1989, a month after the release of Tengen's Tetris, U.S. In April 1989, Tengen, who had previously filed an anti-trust suit against Nintendo, sued Nintendo again claiming rights to distribute Tetris on the NES, and Nintendo counter-sued citing infringement of trademark. However, because Stein had secured the rights from Pajitnov directly and not from the Russian authorities, the USSR's Ministry of Software and Hardware Export stated that the console rights to Tetris had been licensed to nobody, and that Atari Games had only been licensed the rights to produce arcade games with the property. Around this same time, Nintendo was asked by Bullet-Proof Software with the prospect of developing a version of Tetris for the Game Boy, and Rogers traveled to Moscow to secure permission to distribute Tetris with the Game Boy. Mirrorsoft later sub-licensed the rights to Henk Rogers of Bullet-Proof Software to distribute Tetris in Japan. With the rights secured, Atari Games produced an arcade version of Tetris, and under their Tengen subsidiary began development to port the title to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in June 1988. After seeing the game run on an Atari ST, programmer Ed Logg petitioned Atari Games to license it for an arcade version, and approached Stein. He in turn sub-licensed the rights to Mirrorsoft for the European market and Spectrum HoloByte for the North American market. Andromeda Software executive Robert Stein approached Pajitnov with an offer to distribute Tetris worldwide, and secured the rights to license the title. In 1987, Soviet Academy of Sciences researcher Alexey Pajitnov (who invented the original game in 1984-85) alongside Dmitry Pavlovsky and Vadim Gerasimov developed a new version of Tetris out of a desire to create a two-player puzzle game. Two players or one player and the computer attempt to form lines in the same playing field, which is wider than usual. Tengen's Tetris for the NES in Cooperative mode. The two-player mode replaces the statistics display with another playfield. Various publications have since noted that Tengen's Tetris was in some ways superior to the official NES release, especially since the Tengen game featured a two-player simultaneous mode not available in Nintendo's version.ĭevelopment and history Tengen's Tetris for the NES in one-player mode. With fewer than 100,000 copies known to exist, the Tengen release has since become a collector's item, due to its short time on the market. Both versions were commercially successful and Nintendo held the Tetris license for many years. Nintendo produced its own version for the NES as well as a version for the Game Boy. As a result, the Tengen game was only on the shelf for four weeks before Atari was legally required to recall the game and destroy any remaining inventory of its NES version. There were also issues with the publishing rights for Tetris, and after much legal wrangling, Nintendo itself ended up with the rights to publish console versions, leaving Atari with only the rights to arcade versions. In 1989, Atari Games released a port of their arcade version under their Tengen label for the Nintendo Entertainment System, despite it not being licensed by Nintendo for the system. The game features several difficulty levels and two-player simultaneous play. Based on Alexey Pajitnov's Tetris, Atari Games' version features the same gameplay as the computer editions of the game, as players must stack differently shaped falling blocks to form and eliminate horizontal lines from the playing field. Tetris (styled TETЯIS) is a puzzle game developed by Atari Games and originally released for arcades in 1988. I don't think Shadowmap filter makes that much of a difference on performance so I just have mine set to "Nearest" which means no filter. However, if you must have "Light shadowmaps" enabled (some maps like to use it for visuals), make sure "Shadowmap quality" is set to the lowest (128). If you absolutely must have them enabled, make sure "Light shadowmaps" are turned off. If you want more performance at the cost of loading times, then you should enable "Precache GL textures".įor Display Options > Dynamic Lights, match my settings once again. At the top of this menu, you'll also see Stereo 3D VR and Postprocessing. At the bottom, hopefully your Rendering quality is still set to "Speed". In addition, Fog mode should be turned off as well. Those are mostly for loading times but if you have extra dynamic lights enabled then that is usually the reason that your game gets slowed down.įor Display Options > Hardware Rendering Options (for OpenGL), make sure your "Sector light mode" is anything but Software or Vanilla as I've heard that those two are usually costly on performance. Kali Linux is mainly used for advanced Penetration Testing and Security Auditing. It is maintained and funded by Offensive Security. Kali Linux is a Debian-derived Linux distribution designed for digital forensics and penetration testing. Nearly every distribution of Linux can be downloaded for free, burned onto disk (or USB thumb drive), and installed (on as many machines as you like). You get to choose a distro depending on what you want to achieve. These versions are called distributions (or, in the short form, “distros''). So this makes the Linux Operating system available in different versions. The term open source means that the source code is available to anyone and can be modified and distributed by anyone around the world. The operating system coordinates all of this to make sure each program gets what it needs. Most of the time, several different computer programs could be running at the same time, and they all need to access your computer's central processing unit (CPU), memory, and storage. On the surface, She Wants Me Dead looks like it could be something silly and fun with a dark touch to it. The jazzy music is at least catchy, but it can get annoying after a while, too. That said, it just lacks a lot of the heart and soul that made those games visually interesting. Visually, She Wants Me Dead seems inspired by games like Limbo and Inside. If you catch it on sale for, say, two bucks, then maybe it’s worth checking out. Not to mention, the asking price on Switch is $10, which is steep considering the quality of the game. But even then, it’s not exactly worth playing when there are so many better options out there. It’ll take you about an hour to clear the 10 levels in She Wants Me Dead, so the game isn’t the biggest time investment. Honestly, though, these rewards hardly seem worth saving up coins for. Coins can also be used to purchase outfits. Once you completely run out of health, you can either start the level over or spend coins that you earn by clearing stages to refill your health meter and continue from the last checkpoint you reached. You have health points that deplete every time you die. Holding down the jump button instantly triggers another jump the moment your character’s feet touch the ground, which just doesn’t feel natural and makes areas where you have to perform multiple jumps in a row feel like a chore. A few challenges rely on perfectly timed jumps, too, but the game just feels a little off most of the time. The game doesn’t feel terrible, but it’s not as tight or polished as its contemporaries. It also doesn’t help that the controls in She Wants Me Dead are a bit floaty. While playing, it got to the point where I just wanted to reach the end rather than actually feeling inspired to beat a specific level or clear a certain challenge. Sure, you’ll reach parts that are really challenging, but they come off as tedious more than anything. Sadly, the levels in She Wants Me Dead just feel contrived. And though there can be some degree of fun to be had occasionally, everything here just seems like it’s been done better before - because, well, it has. There are spikes, fire traps, pitfalls, and buzz saws, sure, but the basic layouts aren’t exciting. Unlike those games, though, the levels here are kind of devoid of personality and substance. They’re basic 2D platforming stages that seem inspired by modern tough-as-heck classics like Super Meat Boy and Cele s te. There are 10 stages in She Wants Me Dead. When you do, though, you’re left with an underwhelming, disappointing platformer. It’s quirky and lighthearted, and it’s a good reason to make you want to play the game. Then there’s the story - you’re a dude with a cat, and your cat wants you dead, so she sets up a bunch of traps for you. On its surface, it has this semi- Limbo-like look to it that’s easy to be intrigued by. She Wants Me Dead is the type of game that means well, but too many flaws keep it from being enjoyable. |
